Lacroute Prizes in Poetry & Prose Winners announced at 5 p.m. on the Nicholson Library steps
Winners of the Lacroute Prizes in Poetry and Prose will be announced at 5 p.m. Winners will read their work alongside other finalists; all winners and finalists will be published in this year’s issue of Camas, A Journal of Art & Literature. The Lacroute Prizes are two of the most generous undergraduate writing prizes in the United States. The professional judges for this year’s prizes are acclaimed writers of the natural world Justin Gardiner and Rose McLarney. In addition, the 2025 edition of Camas will be released to the public at the Arts Crawl.
成人头条 Theatre Program:
Shakespeare in the Courtyard in the Ford Hall courtyard and around the Arts Quad
Who can resist a raucous comedy about a man turned donkey turned man again, a ne'er-do-well fairy imp, four lovers on a collision course, and a wedding celebration culminating with the performance of “Pyramus and Thisbe” by a swath of rude mechanicals? Queen Elizabeth the First of England certainly could not and we hope you can’t either. Enjoy scenes from A Midsummer Night’s Dream as well as from Richard III, featuring one of Shakespeare’s most unscrupulous villains as he woos Lady Anne, plus a healthy diet of Shakespearean insults, praises, soliloquies and sonnets as you wander the greens of 成人头条’s Arts Quad.
Department of Art:
Senior Capstone Exhibition from 5 to 7 p.m. in the 成人头条 Gallery
POW! CLANK! ZAM! features the art of students in the 成人头条 Department of Art’s 2025 senior capstone class. The exhibition features ocular migraine visualizations, clothes shopping, a dissection of the human body, playing cards and a storyboarded universe.
Department of Music:
Opera/Musical Theatre Showcase from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Delkin Recital Hall in the Vivian Bull Music Center
Experience the drama, comedy, and passion of song in this dynamic showcase! 成人头条 voice students bring beloved classic opera scenes and songs from musical theatre to life with soaring melodies, heartfelt performances, and compelling storytelling.
